Methodology

Flows are built from disclosed funding rounds that pass the Fusion42 quality gate. Regions are where funded startups are based — capital destination, not investor origin. The sector axis shows the sixteen sector groups from the Fusion42 taxonomy: a round tagged with an AI & ML or Deep Tech member sector maps to that group, and zooming a group reveals its member sectors — no AI label is ever invented. Average and median round sizes are available in two-column views only, because they do not conserve across a middle column. Rounds with undisclosed amounts are excluded from dollar measures but still count towards deal counts.
